Semiya / Bambino Vermicelli Pulihora is one of my favorite breakfast which is quick and easy to prepare. It is very tasty and healthy recipe popular in South india which gives tangy and spicy flavor.

Vermicelli (Semiya) |
2 Cups

Lemon Juice |
2 Tbsps
|
Water |
4 Cups
|
Salt |
To Taste
|
Coriander Leaves (Chopped) |
Few (For Garnishing)

Green Chillies (Sliced) |
6 - 8

Dry Red Chillies |

Peanuts |
2 Tbsps

Cashews |
2 Tbsps
|
Channa Dal (Senaga Pappu) |
1 Tbsp
|
Urad Dal ( Black Gram) |
1/2 Tbsp
|
Mustard Seeds |
1 Tsp
|
Turmeric Pwd |
1/8 Tsp
|
Curry Leaves |

|
Process:
- Boil 4 cups of water on high flame. Add the vermicelli and cook for 4 - 5 min. Switch off the stove and strain the water. Add cold water and strain completely.
- Meanwhile do the seasoning. Heat oil in a pan and fry green chillies, peanuts, cashews for 1 - 2 min. Then add channa dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, curry leaves and for another 1 - 2 min. Lastly add turmeric to the seasoning. Turn off the heat.
- Spread the vermicelli in a wide bowl and add the seasoning, salt, lemon juice and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot & enjoy the pulihora !!!!
