Mamidikayi Tokkudu Pachadi | Raw Mango Chutney

Mamidikayi Tokkudu Pachadi is very spicy and delicious chutney which is made with raw mango, red chillies and other spices. I learnt this pachadi from my mom and its my favorite from my childhood. This chutney is good with plain rice / any kind of dosas / curd rice.
Cooking Time 30-45 min
Serves 2-3 Persons


Ingredients:
Raw Mango (chopped) (sour one)
1
Dried Red chillies
5 - 7
Garlic (minced)
2 Cloves
Fenugreek Seeds
⅛ Tsp
Mustard Seeds
⅛ Tsp
Urad Dal / Black Gram
1 Tbsp
Channa Dal / Bengal Gram
1 Tbsp
Turmeric
⅛ Tsp
Salt
To Taste
For Seasoning:
Dried Red chillies

Garlic (minced)
1 Clove
Urad dal
½ Tsp
Cumin seeds (Jeera)
½  Tsp
Mustard seeds
½  Tsp
Curry Leaves
Few
Oil
1 Tbsp
Process:

  • In a mixi grind red chillies, fenegreek, mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal into powder.
  • Take the chopped mango pieces, garlic, powder(from the mixi), salt & grind them into small  pieces in a food chopper.
  • Heat oil in a pan, fry red chillies, minced garlic, urad dal, cumin, mustard seeds & curry leaves.
  • Add the seasoning to the pachadi and mix well.
  • Serve with rice, curd rice or any dosa.
