Potlakaya Vepudu | Snake Gourd Fry

Potlakaya Vepudu | Snake Gourd Fry is very easy and simple fry which is a great combination with both rice and rotis. Here is the recipe .......
Cooking Time 30 min
Serves 2-3 Persons


Ingredients:

Snakegourd (chopped into small pieces)
3 no’s
Red chilli pwd
1 tsp
Turmeric
⅛ Tsp
Salt
To Taste
For Seasoning:
Dried Red chillies
2
Garlic (minced)
1 Clove
Urad dal
1 Tsp
Cumin seeds (Jeera)
½  Tsp
Mustard seeds
1 Tsp
Curry Leaves
Few
Oil
1 Tbsp

Process:
  • Heat oil in a pan and do the seasoning - fry red chillies, minced garlic, urad dal, mustard seeds, jeera & lastly add few curry leaves.
  • Add the chopped snakegourd pieces to the seasoning & also add salt, tumeric and cover the pan with a lid for 5-10 miin until the pieces become soft.
  • Remove the lid and fry for 10 to 15 min on a medium flame.
  • Now lastly add red chilli powder and fry for 2 - 3 min.
  • Remove it into a serving bowl & Serve with hot rice.

  5. its been ages since i had this veg...not able to see here...my fav poriyal n the stir fry looks yummy n tempting...i use to add some shredded coconut..gives nice flavor n taste..yum..yum...
