Prawns Fry | Royyala Vepudu

Prawns Fry | Royyala Vepudu is a delicious fry which i learnt from my mom and can be done for special occasions like parties, potlocks, etc. In the last I add fresh coconut paste for an extra flavor.

Serves 3-4 Persons
Prawns Fry


Ingredients:
Prawns (Peeled & Washed)
2 Lbs (100-120 count)
Onion (finely chopped)
1 Big
Green Chillies (chopped)

Ginger Garlic paste
1 ½  Tsps
Red chilli pwd
2 Tsps
Coriander pwd
2 Tsps
Garam masala pwd
1 Tsp
Turmeric
⅛ Tsp
Coconut pieces (fresh/frozen)
¼  Cup
Coriander leaves
For Garnishing
Salt
To Taste
For Seasoning:
Elachi

Cloves
1
Cinnamon Sticks
1 Inch
Oil
2 Tbsp
Process:
  • Heat oil in a pan, then add elachi, cloves, cinnamon sticks and fry for a sec. Then add chopped onions and chopped green chillies.
  • Fry them until golden brown color. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a min.
  • Add turmeric, corriander pwd, red chilli pwd & salt. Mix and fry for a min.
  • Add prawns & mix well. Cover and cook until prawns are cooked and water from prawns are evaporated.
  • Meanwhile grind the coconut pieces using little water into coconut paste (Dont make it very fine paste).
  • Add the coconut paste to the cooked prawns and fry for 10-15 min until the raw smell of coconut is gone.
  • Add garam masala and fry for a min.
  • Garnish with corriander leaves & serve with any rice dish .
