Wheat | Godhuma Ravva Upma

Here comes a healthy breakfast which is simple to make and nutritious too. I dont like to eat upma plainly so i add few drops of lemon juice or eat with any pickle (mango or ginger)
Cooking Time 30 min
Serves 2 - 3 Persons

Ingredients:
Wheat ravva/Godhuma
1 ½ Cups
Onion (chopped)
1 Big
Tomato (chopped)
1 Big
Coriander leaves (chopped)
¼ Cup
Green Chillies (sliced )
5 - 6
Ginger (grated)
1 Inch
Water
3 ½ Cups
Lemon
1
Salt
To Taste
For Seasoning:
Cashews

Mustard seeds
1 Tsp
Urad dal
1 Tsp
Channa dal
1 Tsp
Cumin seeds (Jeera)
½  Tsp
Dry Red Chillies
2
Curry leaves
Few
Oil/Ghee
2 Tbsps

Process:
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and fry channa dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, jeera, dry red chillies, cashews and curry leaves until they are light brown in color.
  • Add chopped onions, sliced green chillies, finely chopped ginger and fry for 5 min.
  • Add chopped tomato and cover the pan and cook until tomatoes are done.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and fry for 1 min.
  • Now add 3 ½ cups of water and let it boil for 5 min.
  • Slowly add the ravva to it stirring constantly.
  • Cover the pan for 5 min. Turn off the heat.
