Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji is a popular fast food dish/street food from Mumbai where Pav means bread (soft buns) and Bhaji means boiled & mashed mixed vegetable curry cooked with pav bhaji masala. Generally i make in the evenings as a snack.
Cooking Time 45 min
Serves 3-4 Persons
To make the Bhaji (Mixed vegetables curry with pav bhaji masala) .......

Ingredients:
Onion (finely chopped)
1 Big
Tomatoes (chopped)
2 Small
Green chillies (sliced)
3
Potatoes (Boiled & peeled)
3
Carrots (Peeled, chopped & boiled)
2
Peas (Boiled)
¾ Cup
Ginger Garlic paste
1 Tsp
Pav bhaji masala (MDH Brand)
3 Tsp
Red chilli pwd
1 Tsp
Turmeric
⅛  tsp
Lemon juice
2-3 tsp
Salt
To Taste
Coriander leaves (chopped)
Garnishing
Oil/ Butter
1 Tbsp

Process:

  • Pressure cook all the vegetables or boil them in the microwave. Mash all the vegetables after they are boiled using a masher.
  • Heat oil in pan and fry the onions, green chilles until golden golden brown color.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and fry a min.
  • Then add turmeric, red chilli pwd, pav-bhaji masala, salt & chopped tomatoes and mix well. Cover and cook until the tomatoes become soft.
  • Now add the mashed vegetables and required water as needed. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15-20 min.
  • Lastly add lemon juice and garnish with finely chopped onions & chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve bhaji with the fried pavs.
For frying the pavs ........

Ingredients:
Pavs or buns

As Needed
Process:
  • Heat butter in a pan and fry the pavs one by one.
