Beans Fry with Dry Coconut RedChilli Powder

Beans fry is very simple and easy to prepare that can be made very quickly. I add dry coconut redchilli powder which tastes great. Normally we use dry coconut redchilli powder for idlis and dosas. Once i tried adding this powder to some frys, it turned out very good. Very soon I will be posting the powder recipe.

Serves 2-3 Persons  


Ingredients:
Beans (Chopped Beans)
1 lb
Red chilli pwd
1 Tsp
Turmeric
1/8 Tsp
Endu Kobbari Karam podi (Dry Coconut RedChilli powder)
2 - 3 Tbsps
Salt
To Taste
Seasoning:
Oil
2 - 3 Tbsps
Dry Red Chillies
3
Urad Dal ( Black Gram)
1/2 Tbsp
Mustard Seeds
1 Tsp
Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
1/2 Tsp
Curry Leaves
Few

Process:
●        Boil the chopped beans in a microwave by taking them into a bowl with 2 - 3 cups of water and little salt for 8 to 10 min.
●        Drain the water from the boiled beans and keep it aside.
●        Heat oil in a pan and do the seasoning - fry red chillies, urad dal, mustard seeds, jeera &        lastly add few curry leaves.
●        Add the boiled beans to the seasoning and fry for 10 to 15 min on a medium flame.
●        Lastly add kobbari karam podi and fry for 3 - 5 min and remove it into a serving bowl.
●        Serve with hot rice or chappatis.

  3. thats a new idea..i always use green chillies for stir fry. I have never seen drycoconut chilly powder...is it available in market?

  4. @Amy, @Ramya -- Thanks for liking the idea..... Dry Coconut chilly pwd is made with dry coconut, channa dal and red chillies.
    Usually i make at home. In India we get in sweet home shops but i dont know in USA. I will post the powder recipe as soon as possible.
